		<description>Really interesting research. All too often aid gets delivered without a critical examination of efficacy. I was glad to find this post.

Something I&#039;ve been thinking about myself related to NGOs, ODA, and the aid delivery framework is that perhaps one of the problems of aid delivery is that organizations seem to pick and choose locations for intervention in specific issues. This choice process often seems haphazard and random. It might be better for aid delivery to focus on a small, circumscribed geographical area, and on providing comprehensive services within that area. At least then a local aid administrator would have more local contact, a better idea of need, and a wider scope for weighing costs and benefits of specific interventions in specific situations.
